Mission 50L Cow Anatomy Program: Bringing Scientific Knowledge to Dairy Farming

The Mission 50L – Cow Anatomy program was successfully conducted in Sangamner through a joint initiative of the Maharashtra Progressive Dairy Farmers Association (MPDFA) and the Progressive Dairy Farmers Association, Punjab (PDFA). The program focused on helping dairy farmers understand the importance of scientific knowledge in modern dairy farming.
Through the program, farmers received valuable guidance on cow anatomy, the digestive system and scientific approaches associated with higher milk production. Understanding the animal’s body structure and digestion can help farmers develop better awareness of nutrition, animal care and dairy management.
The program was graced by the special presence of Hon. Shri Balasaheb Thorat, adding significance to the initiative and its focus on farmer knowledge and dairy development.
The program also benefited from the guidance of Mr. Ranjit Deshmukh, Chairman of Sangamner Taluka Cooperative Milk Producers and Processing Union Ltd. and President of the Maharashtra Progressive Dairy Farmers Association (MPDFA).
Expert guidance was provided by Dr. Mukesh Sharma, who shared important insights related to cow anatomy and scientific dairy practices. The knowledge shared during the program provided participating farmers with an opportunity to better understand the relationship between animal health, nutrition and dairy productivity.
Mission 50L aims to promote a more modern and knowledge-driven approach to dairy farming. By connecting farmers with expert guidance and scientific information, such initiatives can support farmers in strengthening their dairy management practices and developing a more professional approach to their businesses.
The successful completion of the Mission 50L – Cow Anatomy program marks another step towards bringing modern science and practical knowledge into dairy farming and supporting the journey from milk producer to dairy entrepreneur.
