mission 50l

Mission 50 Litre is an ambitious initiative aimed at creating a new dairy revolution in Maharashtra by transforming traditional milk producers into successful dairy entrepreneurs. Under the leadership of Hon. Shri Balasaheb Thorat and the guidance of Shri Ranjit Deshmukh, Chairman of Rajhans Milk Union, the mission focuses on modern technology, scientific management, superior genetics, balanced nutrition, silage, cow comfort, and efficient cattle shed management to achieve higher and better-quality milk production.

Through practical demonstrations and farmer guidance, Shri Ranjit Deshmukh explained the difference between traditional cows producing around 15–20 litres of milk and high-producing cows capable of producing 40–50 litres. Important factors such as body structure, abdominal capacity, leg structure, udder quality, nutrition, and genetics were highlighted. Mission 50 Litre aims to combine science, planning, technology, and cooperation to improve productivity, strengthen farmers financially, and create a sustainable path towards modern dairy entrepreneurship across Maharashtra.
